Booked a premier and my daughter booked a normal deluxe and she get to check-in early without issues. Keep saying our premier room not ready and hv to wait till 3pm. Was sat at 12 floor lounge and informed the lady to let us know when room is ready but she just sat there until I asked her at 3.16pm then she said “oh room is ready. Such a service!!!! Breakfast spread is nothing to shout about. But I must mention that the guys at concierge are always smiling and open glass door for us. Top notch service. They should be recognised but not that lady sitting her butt there at 12 floor lounge without giving good service.

We had a great stay at this hotel. The room was very clean and super spacious, which made it really comfortable for us. The location is decent, and what's really convenient is that there are restaurants just downstairs, so food is never a problem.
One highlight of our stay was the set meal on the 11th floor—really worth it! There are four options to choose from, and on the first night, we tried the seafood aglio olio. It was tasty, but unfortunately, the prawns weren’t fresh. We gave feedback to the waitress, and she acknowledged it.
The next day, we went back and ordered the same dish again, and this time the prawns were fresh and delicious—a definite improvement! Appreciate that they took the feedback seriously. Overall, a satisfying experience and would recommend it for its spacious rooms, convenience, and decent dining options.

The hotel's location is perfect. It's right next to Dataran Pahlawan shopping mall and a short walk to Jonker Street, where you can find delicious street food. The staff was warm, welcoming, and always ready to assist with any request. It’s reasonably priced for the quality and location, especially considering the standard of service and the clean facilities.

Stayed for a few times since Hatten opened since it has the best location in whole Malacca. However, it seriously needs a revamp. Lobby n public area are still ok. But everything in the rooms are very old, like broken lamp shade, peeled off wallpapers, curtain, stained sofa, everywhere. Feel like going to a 3 stars hotel once stepped out from the lift. There is also a smell as if no one had been stayed in the room for a long time.
Honestly, even it has the best location but won’t stay again unless there is major revamp.
If you don’t mind the rundown plus affordable rate, this is a good place. But not for my family.
Courtyard is not so convenient like Hatten, and slightly expensive, but it’s much more worth it.

Room is spacious and location is very convenient. It is well connected to the various malls all within walking distance. The walk to Jonker Street is slightly further about 15 to 20min by cutting across the palawan mall.
Breakfast is normal with nasi lemak, fried egg, breads, etc. Not a very wide spread but good enough.
Checkin is a bit upsetting for my wife. We arrive at about 1pm and did a Checkin first but was told to come back at 3pm for the room as it was not ready. The checkin staff initially told us that although they do not have connecting room she can arrange a room side by side for us. But when we came back at 3pm the other checkin staff told us that they have to give us the rooms about 10rooms apart. We argue a little and they agree to let us have a room side by side but we need to wait for the other room as it is not ready. So we got to take a room first while waiting for the other room to be ready.
Overall the hotel is good for the location and the price

The hotel is very old, and the sofa chairs are stained. The bed sheets also seem unclean. The container for coffee and sugar in the room is peeling and covered in dust. There is no conditioner in the bathroom. You have to ask for a comb if you need one. Breakfast on weekends requires queuing. There are very few food options, and even the egg station requires waiting in line. Worse still, my husband got food poisoning after eating their buffet breakfast and vomited several times. We will not be returning to this hotel.
